Chengde Lido Hotel revolving door

Chengde Weichang, once the cultural heartland of imperial hunting grounds, now sees the revolving bronze doors of the Lido Hotel continue the legacy of this land's majesty and refinement, crafted with metal as the pen and artisanal skill as the ink.

Crafted from 62% high-purity brass, the doors undergo twelve traditional processes: artisans hand-forge natural textures, while embossed patterns subtly reveal simplified royal hunting motifs.

The acid-washed copper surface reveals a warm, interwoven sheen of light and shadow under illumination, each groove bearing the legacy of intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship.

A precision CNC rotating system paired with silent bearings ensures opening angles accurate to 0.5°, operating with serene smoothness that epitomises the composed sophistication of a luxury hotel.

The brass surface employs nano-silane passivation technology, effectively resisting temperature fluctuations and humidity variations in the surrounding environment, guaranteeing no fading or oxidation for a decade.

The door frame is defined by minimalist lines, harmonising with the hotel's new Chinese architectural style. The weighty presence of copper contrasts with the transparency of glass, creating a visually rich layered experience.

This revolving bronze door serves both as a guardian of space and a vessel for cultural expression. It fuses Weichang's natural elegance with imperial solemnity into the copper's texture, using the silent language of craftsmanship to usher each guest into a stay imbued with both reverence and cultural depth.

It stands as the Lido Hotel's iconic symbol of dialogue with the region's cultural heritage.
