Located in the start-up area of Beijing Tongzhou Urban Sub-centre, the Administrative Office Building of Beijing Urban Sub-centre is an intensive, efficient, local, humanistic, simple and elegant complex. To the north of the North Canal, it is bordered by the municipal government building in the north as well as the committee and bureau office buildings on the east and west sides, and the municipal party committee, National People's Congress (NPC), and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) office buildings in the south, with a total area of about 60,000 square kilometres occupied by the administrative offices. The entire project features a façade wrapped in 276 oversized pieces of glass.

It is the first time that precast concrete hung panel curtain wall is applied on a large scale in the Beijing Urban Vice Centre. The form of the entire facade enclosure system contains various decorative lines, right angles, oblique sections, diagonal intersecting sections, corner arcs, etc., in which the largest number of intersecting surfaces in all directions reaches 52 planes, which is challenging and difficult, and the orderly combination of diverse geometrical shapes and intersecting sections, and the precise fabrication and installation make the building's facade atmospheric and stable, and have a sense of art.

Ruimao Copper Art uses the traditional palace forging and burring techniques combined with modern techniques to design the roof of the Beijing Urban Vice Centre with a metal roof plus a light roof, which greatly reduces the amount of electricity needed for daytime lighting, and the roof also adopts a dimming glass, which reduces the transmittance rate when there is enough light such as at midday, so that the light will not be felt as harshly as it would be and reduces air-conditioning energy consumption. Showing different artistic styles in different ways and mobilising our light and inner spiritual order with more vibrant colours is not only a representation from the crowd, but also a symbol of significance.

The refreshing story that belongs to Beijing's urban sub-centre is another positive demonstration of building a green city of the future.
